FAQ GENERAL INFORMATION

If we are able to fulfill your request, we will send you a reservation form by E-mail with all your booking information.

You will have to return it by E-mail, with your final approval and also confirming that you have read, understood and accepted our Terms & Conditions.

There will be no charge prior to the tour which you will pay directly to your guide in Euros, cash or travelers checks on the day of the tour.

If you prefer to pay prior the tour, it is available by bank transfer in Euros.

There will be no charge at all if you cancel at least 72 hours before the tour. For any cancellation 48 hours or 24 hours before the tour or on the day of the tour, the total price of the tour will be charged.

From Paris Gare Saint Lazare by train :

First train at 7:07 am. Average duration : 2h18 min.

Be careful, you have to switch train in Caen (9 min transfer), always follow the signs looking for the train number. You will arrive in Bayeux at 09.26 am, but not available on weekends and French bank holidays.

From Paris by car : Get on Highway A13 towards Caen, then follow the signs for “Périphérique Sud” (South ring) and exit N° 8 towards Cherbourg/Bayeux. Finally take the exit N° 36 for the Bayeux downtown and train station. Get to the train station (following the signs : Gare SNCF).

We recommend you to wear comfortable clothes, especially shoes since we will be doing a bit of walking on different types of terrain. Also the weather can be chilly or rainy even in the summer, a warm raincoat is often needed !

Children of all ages are welcome on our tours. A child will use one seat in our vehicles. We have at your disposal adapted children seats. If needed, please let us know the type of seat that is required at time of booking.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

This is a binding legal document between Normandy44 Tours or Normandy44 with Oliver, hereafter referred to as “We”  and Normandy44 Tours or Normandy44 with Oliver customer (s) hereafter referred to as “you” or “customer (s)”.

Bookings

You must be of age of majority in your country in order to request a booking. All children must be accompanied by an adult. You must provide information necessary for identification, including your first name, last name, postal address, and e-mail address, to place an order.

We will confirm the request within 48 hours at the latest by E-mail. In order to confirm your request, you must confirm by Email that you have read, understood and that you agree on this terms & conditions, we will then send you a confirmation of your booking by return mail if the date of the tour is still available, « first come, first serve policy ». You must receive a written confirmation to be fully booked.

Prices

Prices are stated in euros (EUR) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are valid all year round. Prices are fixed without taxes – « VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the CGI » VAT exemption as per the « French Code Général des Impôts ».
Indicated prices include the vehicle with its driver, the insurance for the embarked persons and the gasoline for the tour specifically stated in the description on our website. Extra mileage, lunch and museum entrance fees are not included.

For the group tour, the price is reduced for children under 14 years old.

Payments

Full payment is required at the latest by the end of the tour. All payments must be made in Euros (€).
Means of payments accepted : Bank transfer or PayPal (all bank fees are at the charge of the customer), travelers’ check and cash payment. Upon request, an invoice can be provided on the day of the tour, or sent by E-mail.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation & acknowledgement of receipt can only be received via E-mail.. There will be no charge if you cancel at least 72 hours before the tour. (If the tour was prepaid, the bank transfer fees will remain at the charge of the customer).
For any cancellation less than 72 hours, or no-shows on the day of the tour, the total price of the tour will be requested and we will send you an invoice.

Force Majeure

Parties’ obligations will not be applicable or will be suspended if their execution became impossible due to an act of force majeure, such as: act of public potency, hostilities, war, natural disaster, fire, strike, criminal acts.

Parties must use all efforts to prevent or reduce the effects of a non-performance of the contract caused by an event of force majeure; the party seeking to invoke an event of force majeure must notify the other party without delay of the beginning and end of this event. Without such notice, the party will not be relieved of his or her responsibility.

Also, cancellations may be imposed by circumstances of the greatest importance, physical or mental disability (poviding a medical evidence) and/or linked to the customer’s safety, and/or on the command of an enforcing authority and/or the French Prefecture. In adverse weather conditions (snow or black ice), the French Préfecture may decide to suspend certain school or regular bus services, in that case, we will also suspend our tours.
We reserves the right to cancel totally or partially the tour and/or to modify planned dates/times/itineraries if the customer’s safety can not be ensured. The customer can not claim any refund or compensation. You will be fully informed as to the reasons and if alternatives can be offered.

Responsibility

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by third parties or for reasons beyond its control, and cannot be held responsible for the loss of valuables, luggage or objects during tours. You must keep all valuable belongings at all time with you.We can’t be held responsible for any events that will prevent the customer to reach at the exepected time the start point of the contracted tour, or for any additional costs that will be applicable to the customer for him/her to reach on time the stating point of our tour.

Transportation

We hold a transportation license number as mentioned on our Website (see Legal/ Bottom foot). We take care of customers’ transportation in a quality vehicle that can hold from 2 to 8 passengers. You are not allowed to drink, eat or to smoke in the vehicle. Pets are not allowed on board of the vehicle.

Insurance

We hold a national license for the transportation of passenger in vehicles (cars, minivans, coaches…). This license is delivered by the French government and guaranties you appropriate insurance for the vehicle, driver and the passengers :

Insurance for the vehicle and its driver / Civil liability insurance and Unlimited insurance for the embarked persons.

Apart from these insurances mentioned above, no other insurance is included in the prices we offer. As a consequence, when you book your trip, we suggests that you should subscribe to an insurance through your insurance company, against the following risks : cancellation, repatriation, loss of luggage, legal aid, accidental bodily injury (when not on board the vehicle) and repatriation.

Claim

Any claim should be made as soon as possible and confirmed by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, within 15 days after the end of the tour.

Juridiction

These general terms and conditions as well as the contract made by ordering a tour online are governed exclusively by French law. Any dispute concerning the application of these terms of sale shall be the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the department of Calvados, in which we are located.

Nevertheless, the parties agree to try and reach an amicable resolution of any difficulties or of disputes concerning the interpretation, execution, or termination of the parties’ contract before starting any legal action.
